For years, I aspired to join a book club. I love to read, and enjoy discussions of every kind. But I couldn’t make a connection. Now that I’m retired, I have joined three book groups. They each have a unique focus, based on the interests of the members. I now read novels that I might not otherwise notice. I have broadened my literary knowledge and experience, and met interesting people with a diversity of backgrounds and opinions. I try to finish each book, even the difficult ones. Our best discussions involve books with mixed reviews. This one is in progress!
