Picture a Day #240 – Another Amphibian Visitor

This morning, as I was watering the garden here in the Sierra foothills, I spotted a Sierran Treefrog hanging out on a nearby piece of crockery. This is probably a female, because males have a dark throat.

Every evening, they can be heard rustling around in the dry oak leaves that surround the garden area. This was the first time I saw one sitting still!

I love tree frogs. They are so cool. It hung out for a while, then headed on its way. This was my second amphibian experience so far this month. Not bad.
