Here is the beginning of my painting that was inspired by the evening light in the trees behind the cabin where I live. I posted a photo of this area recently. Then I took my new portable easel and watercolor block outside to capture the scene en plein air.

I used Cadmium Yellow Pale, Prussian Blue, and Alizarin Crimson to begin my painting.

Next I will layer colors to shape the scene and then add details.
