Yesterday was quite a day for wildlife viewing. A tree frog, woodpeckers, and deer all made appearances in the area around the cabin.

I haven’t seen any deer in the past month. But yesterday a doe, a spike, and a fawn showed up outside the fenced-in garden (which is why the garden is fenced in). The spike seemed curious, and was the boldest of the three. The doe kept her distance, and the fawn followed her example.

This photo reminds me of the expression “doe-eyed!”

I can’t wait to see what shows up in the fall!
