Here is the next installment of my most recent project, which I posted yesterday.

After I added crimson to the primary colors in my tiled plane to create purple and orange, I added blue and yellow to create green.

There is more repetition of shapes here, but it’s hard to find any real pattern. When I concentrate on the darker tiles, the lighter ones fall into the background. Next, I want to use Prismacolor pencils to create detail that will bring the darker tiles forward even more.

I am also considering using some opaque watercolor (gouache) on this. I may even add some collage in order to increase the depth.
